This amazing boat was built in Norway of Norwegian Pine and Oak frames. It has sailed to the Northwest twice on its own bottom. Powered by three diesel engines and or the possibility of two hugh wooden masts flying sails. The history of this boat alone takes hours to tell. The short story is in 1915 she was built as a North Sea fishing vessel till about 1937 when a extended lay up period began. Around 1951 to 1953 She was powered and put back into the fishing industry. The original fish hold is now the saloon and galley. In 1976 she was taken to Scotland and converted to a liveaboard. In 1979 ODIN was sailed to Seattle and stayed here for 18 years and then taken back to Norway. From 1999 to 2001 she was redesigned, re-powered, and reconditioned from the keel up to her present day condition. Maintained to very high standards this is a one of a kind classic that you have to see to really appreciate. It was awarded Best Restored Vessel in the 2002 Wooden Boat Festival in Riser, Norway. Modern meets old throughout the boat with all Miele appliances, newer electronics, electric heads, beautiful wood interior, old country craftsman along with amazing engineering are seen everywhere. If you have ever dreamed of sailing the world or just pulling into Port Townsend and have every body near by to stop and take a look this may be your boat. When you come and look set aside enough time to really understand what this boat is.
