Originally built as a Navy Liberty boat in 1939, the grandfather of the current owner bought the surplus hull from Doc Freeman and worked with Bill Garden to design the deck house and interior.  The object was to keep it simple with as much interior space as possible.  They emphasized keeping it more as “work boat” detailed rather than “yacht like”.  The result worked well for the family for 61 years during which it has served both as a “home away from home” and for seasonal cruising for the California family.  It has always been professionally maintained by Anchor Jensen, Vic Frank or Havorn Marine.  Her hull was last professionally painted in 2008, and she has always been moored under cover.
