The 10 foot Class “D” Dyer Dink has the truly classic lines of the traditional sailing dinghy. It was developed as a utility dinghy suitable for one design racing and is in fact one of the premier “frostbit” dinghies. Constructed to the same exacting spectications as the yacht tenders, the 10 foot Dyer Dink is in a class by herself when it comes to quality and sailing ability. While this boat is used as a yacht tender, it has strong appeal as a day sailer in sheltered waters. Built by The Anchorage, Inc 57 Miller street Warren , Rhode Island 02885. The orginal purchase order (sold on 11/8/50 for $658.22)and all the bills of sale from owner to owner come with the boat. Guard rail- Oak: Clamp, Transom Reinforcement and seats- Mahogany; all woodwork painted white 1 pair of oar locks; oarlock sockets; bronze hardware; color white, inside teak floors. Lapstrake Construction, Cedar on oak Fastened w/copper, Mahogany gunwhales, Thwarts, partner, Centerboard, rudder etc., All bronze hardware SAILING EQUIPMENT Wood centerboard trunk with adjustable lever, Mahogany ruddder, 19 foot mast with 9 foot boom, Wamsutta Egyptian cotton sails, 3 sails-one might be orginal sail, Orginal Rigging, Maine spruce spars, Cat rig, Hathwaway, Reiser and Raymond sail, Sail area approx. 62 sq ft., Rigged entirely as it was on the date of first sale 8/November 1950. This boat is a classic, designed for frosbiting on Narragansett Bay. There are not many of these left much less available on the west coast   Trailer not included – used for photo only.
