“Uncle Seth” is a classic bass boat built by the Marscot Plastics division of the re owned Palmer Scott Shipyard of New Bedford, Massachusetts. She is one of the first fiberglass boats constructed using the infusion method of resin being poured into a mold instead of hand laid up glass.

The Marscot hull mold was eventual sold to F.L. Trip and Sons. The Trip Angler 18′ is the exact hull and is still being built today in West port, Massachusetts. She was restored to her current fine condition including new Mahogany windshield between 2003 and 2004 by Palmer Scott’s grandson, Duncan Scott. She was named after her sister ship that the Scott family used when he was a child.She is powered by a Volvo 140 HP gas engine and cruises comfortably at 11 knots with top speeds of 14 knots. There are secondary controls with tiller steering aft.
