A classic American-built yacht, formerly owned by Henry Ford II. Extensive re-fits and upgrades (over $5 million) include new Caterillar engines which were recently overhauled, along with the gensets. The yacht has had major yard periods in 2003 and later in 2006 at the Stabbert Marine yard in Seattle, WA. The yacht has had several marine stylists and designers with input starting with Jon Bannenberg, and later in January of 2003 by Joseph Artese Design from Seattle, WA. In December 2010 she was re-painted prior to a one month charter to Twentieth Century Fox where she was featured as Kevin Bacon’s yacht in the film X-MEN FIRST CLASS. The yacht was originally built in 1964 as “SOUTHERN BREEZE”.The present owner purchased the yacht in 2007 and renamed it to “STARGAZER”. She received her 5-year ABS certificate in 2009. She is world-capable, go-anywhere, ice-class vessel that burns only 55 gph ($7,000 mile range). She is sold with a charter business (gross over $1 million annually) that includes sold-out summer seasons in Alaska (rate is $150,000/week, plus all) and a Galapagos history. Charter clients include Hollywood celebrities and software moguls.
