This yacht is typical of his designs, a wholesome, sound sea-boat with good performance under sail or power and good volume for her dimensions. One of several to the same design built by Hinks Yard at Appledore, Cornwall.  1966.   This vessel has undergone a major refit in the last 12 months and is now close to launching. The hull, deck and engine are all now sound with a few jobs to be done inside. The rig has not yet been refitted but is all available. The vessel is currently undercover in Plymouth and use of the present storage and temporary shelter can be continued by the next owner if required.   Long keel, raked stem and over-hanging transom stern. Planked in mahogany and larch all copper fastened to steamed oak timbers on an oak back-bone. Varnished radiussed transom. Long external iron ballast keel. Oak floors.   Sheathed ply deck with varnished iroko toe rails carried on galvanised and painted steel stanchion posts with twin guard wires, varnished rubbing strakes. Centre wheel-house with forward and after coach-roofs. Sliding door each side and steps down into the wheel-house. Clear uncluttered decks Bronze fairleads and cleats.   Mathway wheel steering to steel plate rudder.                 The refit. In the recent refit the deck was replaced entirely. The forward and after coach-roofs were both replaced in ply, sheathed in epoxy glass and painted. The wheel house was largely rebuilt in varnished mahogany. The hatches on the forward and after coach-roofs have both been replaced. Port holes rechromed. Hatch on the aft deck to the cavernous lazarette. Wheel house windows in aluminium frames.
