“Thetis” is a stunning boat !   She was professionaly rebuilt in 2002 at Schooner Creek Boatworks in Portland, Oregon. Her 70K refit included an LP paint job of the hull and topsides, new deck hardware, new running rigging, a teak and holley cabin sole, ABI S/S Portlites, new electrical (Blue Sea Panels), new seacocks, new upholstery, beautiful teak interior, new Webasto Diesel Furnace ++ !   In 2009 she received new canvass covers including covers for her newly varnished teak trim. She also has new S/S Cleats, and her non-skid was repainted in 2010 !   “The Gulf Island 29 is a moderate displacement, full-keel sloop with attached rudder and cut-away forefoot. She bears a marked resemblance to the legendary Pearson Triton-a Carl Alberg design of identical vintage that is widely respected for its seaworthiness and durability”-Pacific Yachting
