***BRING YOUR OFFER OWNER SAYS SELL*** EGRET is a classic 50′ Flushdeck Stephens Motoryacht with twin Detroit 671s. She was built was built for George Erhart, a refinery engineer, and designed to be an offshore cruiser for Southern California and Mexican waters. Named Coquette III on commissioning, hull # 178 was the last wooden vessel built by Stephens Brothers (launched June 27, 1974) at the Stockton California yard. Apparently, there was a 49′ sedan fisher named”First Light” under construction at the same time that was launched just prior to Coquette III. The most definitive documentary on the Stephens’ yard, Stephens Boat Builders and Designers, describes her role in ending the wooden boat era. “By the early 1970’s, most contracts called for aluminum and, in 1974, Stephens last wooden boat, the 50′ cruiser Coquette III, was launched in Stockton…After 1974, no yacht smaller than 58′ was built, with most being 75 to 90 feet in length”. (Ward, 2002) This is a 2 boat owner with transferable covered Lake Union live-aboard moorage. Must See!
