Very nice “loaded” cruising sailboat that just returned from a few years cruising Mexico.Designed by T.Tanton and built by Ta Chiao in Taiwan. This boat is near-turnkey so if you are looking for a cruising sailoboat stop by & take a look!!. The Tanton 44 was designed to be a fast offshore capable cruising yacht. Full forward is the anchor locker followed by a large, comfortable private stateroom with a centerline berth and a custom innerspring mattress. Ample storage can be found in the hanging locker, book shelves, six drawers, and storage beneath the starboard seat. Stoarge underneath the bunk is utilized for the staysail, spinnaker, and other spares for extended cruising. The main forward hatch is positioned directly over the head of the berth for excellent ventilation. Many of the deck hatches are fitted with Ocean Air retractable screens and sunshades. To port is the spacious head compartment with hot & cold pressure water at the sink. Storage is available in the drawer and lockers below and outboard of the sink and counter. The heads both forward and aft are Lavac vacuum flush heads. The main salon has a large ‘L’ dinette to port with a straight settee to starboard. A large fixed table with port and starboard folding sides and wine and liquor storage in the base, gives ample space for at least six to eat. A Dickinson Newport diesel heater is mounted forward of the table. Both settees are fitted with lee cloths under the cushions which can be quickly attached to convert into comfortable sea berths. Aft of the table on the port side is a second entrance to the aft head via the walkthrough shower. Main cabin custions are in good condition and are covered with a custom green upholstery. To starboard there is the walkthrough galley. There is a double stainless steel sink to port near centerline. Lockers and a spice rack allow for storage and there is a large counter aft of the sinks to work upon. Outboard is the gimbled Force 10 3-burner propane stove with oven, refrigerator and freezer compartments, and more storage in lockers and drawers. Refrigeration is supplied via a Grunert 12 volt refrigeration unit. Aft of the. galley is the forward facing chart table and navigation station with the starboard quarter berth to the aft of the navigation station. Opposite the chart table is the enclosed aft stateroom with double berth, storage comparments, hanging locker and drawers, and a private door to the aft head. The engine is located under the galley sink mid ship. Fresh water is provided via a 12V pump and heated via an hot water heater with both 110V heater and engine heat exchanger. The sinks are also fitted with manual fresh and saltwater hand pumps.
