S/V SAGA is a fast racing boat designed by German Frers and built by Hinterhoeller Yachts of Ontario, Canada. The boat is all about racing and is equipped with a high aspect carbon fiber mast, solid rod shrouds, deep fin keel and oversized steering wheel. A 27 hp. Westerbeke diesel with Max Prop propeller is fitted when motoring is required. The boat is modestly equipped for racing with dual headsail tracks, rigid boom vang, Dacron mainsail, Dacron Genoa on roller furling, two spinnakers and spinnaker pole. Cruising gear includes 12 volt refrigeration, alcohol stove, sink with foot pump water, and fully enclosed head. There is berth space for up to six sailors. SAGA is a well designed boat that offers competitive performance at an affordable price. She was last hauled out in March 2010 and received new bottom paint, new cutlass bearing and Max Prop service. The boat needs substantial upgrading of systems and cosemteic repairs. The owner is very motivated to sell and is receptive to all offers.
