Owner wants this boat sold! Now only 70K!!! The Cabo Rico 34 is just one of those special boats that we all lusted after in the 90s. The Cabo Rico was designed by a great designer, Bill Crealock, famous for for designing the Pacific Seacraft and so many other beautiful main stream sailing yachts. Crealock designs have proven themselves over and over for over thirty years. But it takes more than a great designer. When you couple the design with a great builder the product is amazing. Cabo Rico is famous for the build quality that can only be sustained at an affordable price by using the skilled labor in Costa Rica where the cost of highly skilled and dedicated workforce is less than here in the states or any other place. Cabo Rico workmanship is excellent. They boats are a work of art out of fiberglass, stainless and home grown teak! Cabo Rico Yachts has proven its capabilities over many years building the 34, 36 and 38, 42, and 56. The Chuck Paine designed 42 and 50 are amazing, and Cabo Rico built the entire Cambria Series. These boats are beautiful and well constructed. Hundreds of boats have been built by Cabo Rico over the years and they have withstood the test of time. Beautiful Cabo Ricos are sailing the oceans of the world and our sweet offering is a very fine example. “Selkie” is a very lightly used Cabo Rico 34. The Cabo Rico 34 is a huge boat, offering a commodious interior with two real staterooms, a single large head, a lovely galley that works, and a comfortable salon and cockpit. She is a perfect family boat or great for a couple with occasional guests. The Cabo Rico has the strength and character to sail far! She is a wonderful second home on the Bay, with New England or the Bahamas in easy reach. Because of her relatively shallow draft she is perfect for the Bahamas and will give you no troubles in the intercoastal route or Florida and the Keys. When people tell us they want the option to do some blue water sailing on a smaller manageable boat, we always think of the Cabo Rico 34. Selkei is a very nice Cabo. Over the past six years her owners have attended to her needs doing all of the work themselves. They stripped the bottom and applied a new expoxy barrier coat. They refinished all the exterior teak. They replaced every hose on the boat! Installed a brand new marine toilet with all new head hoses, varnished the teak and holly cabin sole as well as teak screens. They replaced all the batteries, installed a new cockpit shower, and recovered the interior cushions. And they could not resist purchasing a new spinnaker and Garmin 176C Chart Plotter with Blue Chip Charts from Maine to the Chesapeake. If you are looking for a capable little cruiser that you can enjoy and you can afford, you should really give this boat your consideration. You’ll be impressed with her strength and character.
