Google 1990 Schooner, Chapelle Pinky

Year: 1990
Manufacturer: Topsail Yachts
Price: US$95,000

This is a splendid example of a Howard Chapelle-designed Pinky Schooner.  Chapelle spent a lot of time and research effort on Pinky Schooners, which he considered to be one of the finest sea-going traditional craft ever built.  ‘Pleiades’ is based on Chapelle’s ‘Pinky Yacht’ design (as seen in his book ‘American Sailing Craft)l, and represents a slightly modified ‘Eastport Pinky,’ well known for speed and weatherliness in all weathers and sea-states.  These little schooners have a history in New England and Nova Scotia of almost 200 years, and the ‘Eastport’ version was the fastest and most capable of all.   ‘Pleiades,’ as an example of one of Chapelle’s favorite designs, is stoutly built, well-equipped, and in wonderful condition, and for the past few years has been used as an on-going charter vessel in Puget Sound.  There is a fairly recent survey (2009) that is available for serious customers. NOTE: The price quoted is for the schooner only, but if a buyer is interested in runing charters as well, the owner is willing to sell both boat AND business combined for $125,000.00.   Please have a look at the photos and full specifications for more information, and we have quite a number of additional photos on hand as well!
