At first glance, the Robert Perry designed Tayana 48, is a combination of slight sheer, rocket ship stern, and a sharply raked bow that give her a graceful long legged appearance on the water. With above average freeboard and a broad beam of 14′ 6″ the Tayana 48 has an exceptional amount of interior volume for a yacht of its size. The Tayana’s smartly designed interior is as aesthetically beautiful and uncompromising as it is functional, featuring a true, three cabin interior arrangement for those who like or require the extra sleeping capacity for guests. At 65′ bridge clearance and a high aspect rig, she has lots of sail area (1064sq ft)for speed and performance in lighter air but carries enough ballast (11,675lb) to stay solidly on her feet in heavier airs (D/L 33%).
