Introducing the newest model in the Seaway Boats line up: The Seaway 24 Islander Runabout. We believe that the Islander is a future classic inboard. Call today for details. This new model provides maximum cockpit space for owners and guests, while still providing a small cuddy cabin with v-berths & marine potti.

This straight inboard engine model employs a shallow keel and v-strut. The draft is 2 feet. The Seaway 24 Islander Runabout features a modern gas fuel-injected, fresh-water-cooled inboard for efficient, clean operation. There is seating for 6 or 7 owners and guests in the cockpit plus an optional cocktail table which stows when not in use. The engine box has a cushion plus an optional forward or aft-facing backrest. The opening windshield is available in optional teak or mahogany or in standard Starboard. The transom is available in optional varnished mahogany.

Coaming boards are available in standard fiberglass or in optional mahogany or teak. The model pictured has a hull color in white with decks in a nonskid color called Praire Beige (We can also allow you to customize your Seaway 24 Islander in the hull and deck colors of your choice.) Hull colors are available at no extra cost. She uses full composite, modern construction with no wood in her structure. Modern composite construction is employed by Seaway. Decks are cored with honeycomb material. Stringers are fiberglass filled with foam. The hull is solid fiberglass with a shallow keel. But beauty is more than skin deep. You also get the famous Down East dry, soft ride which has made these semi-displacement designs so desirable for generations among lobster boats.

The Seaway Boats has full spray rails, a deep forefoot, tapered keel, quarter guards, and a relatively flat run aft for a very soft, dry, and efficient ride. The Seaway 24 is on the plane at only 10 mph, and they ride relatively flat at all speeds without the bow pointing to the heavens like many deep-vee or semi-vee designs. The Seaway 24 will cruise efficiently and dryly at a variety of speeds–11, 14, 16, 18, 20, or 24 knots–due to this refined underbody. And best of all, she needs less horsepower to get on a plane and reach cruise speeds. The Seaway 24 inboard hull needs only 230 hp in a V-6 gas engine to perform well. An optional 180 hp Yanmar/BMW diesel is available at extra cost. The first Seaway 24 Island model delivered to Annapolis and sold at the Down East show in Eastport. She is ready for inspection as the owners will allow prospective buyers aboard.
