The 560 represents a further development of the concept that has brought the Nord West yard on Orust, on the West Coast of Sweden so much acclaim. Externally she features the unmistakable, timeless lines that can afford to ignore any passing whims of fashion in boatbuilding. Here the emphasis is on sea keeping qualities and economic running costs. The design of her hull and the careful balance that has been achieved make for a boat that is stable as she dances lightly through the water. The Nord West 560 also features Volvo Penta IPS system, with the advantages of higher top speeds, better fuel economy at cruising speeds and lower noise levels than with traditional shafts. Her 56 feet make for generous living space and sleeping accommodation on board. The Nord West 560:s flying bridge offers excellent allround vision from the controls, while there are also a griddle, refrigerator and sink, plus a sundeck that converts into a small swimming pool. Access is via an integrated, traditional-style companionway. The inviting after deck features a railed bathing platform, shower and plenty of stowage space. The first impression the interior of the Nord West 560 makes is one of classic woodwork in teak and mahogany, blending elegantly in both saloon and sleeping quarters with leather and exciting textiles, and with stainless steel fittings making their own contribution. The 560 has an air of spaciousness about her, yet contact between those on board is optimum throughout the boat.This is a fully-grown 56 foot motor yacht, equipped with everything that makes for a life of comfort on board her whether at sea or in harbour. The welcoming saloon features an inviting U-shaped sofa commanding excellent views around the horizon, while facing it is an elegant bar counter complete with sink, wine cooler, ice machine and TV. With its ergonomical, sprung seating of the helmsman and navigator features a carefully planned, functional environment in which chart table and navigational equipment are given plenty of room. The Nord West 560:s servo-assisted and electronic controls make for ease of manoeuvre and plenty of comfort, while the sliding windscreen panel makes for optimum contact between skipper and crew when berthing. The 560 is available with three separate cabins, providing sleeping accommodation for six adults, and there are three spacious head and shower compartments. Amidships is, perhaps, the most important feature of them all: an excellently equipped, airy galley with plenty of work surfaces, a four-burner LPG cooker complete with oven and ventilator fan, a microwave, refrigerator, washing-up machine, freezer and supply of hot and cold running water. Forward, the owners cabin offers privacy, plenty of wardrobe space, plenty of space around the large double bunk and its own head and shower compartments. Crowning the general impression of the Nord West 560 are efficient insulation and ventilation systems, the attention to quality and to safety at sea, which is a distinguishing quality of Nord West.
