Admiralty designed Motor Fishing Vessel, built by Charles Pearson (Hull) Ltd for the Royal Navy in 1944/45. She was sold out of service in 1948 and was then used for fishing out of Belfast until converted into a Motor Yacht in 1965. Now a fantastic liveaboard with huge cruising potential. She is seaworthy, economical, comfortable and much admired around the classic boat regattas, having many concourse prizes to her name. She has a varied and interesting history, having been used for the hunt for Nessie in the 1980’s and made an apperance in the film “A fish called Wanda”. She is a very comfortable liveaboard/home, fully and extensively equipped, warm in the winter, sunny and airy in the summer. A fine sea boat making 7.5 knots through the water at 1.5 Gallons of fuel per hour. The engine room is extremely spacious, well laid out for easy maintenance, allowing the engine to be kept to an immaculate level. A comprehensive refit was carried out during the winter of 2009-2010. After this extensive refit, ‘Tresnish’ is now described as, in excellent condition, with a full survey to back this up. The survey will be available for viewing.
