The Okisollo was built in 1944 for the Canadian Forces as a combat class patrol vessel. She was converted to a tow boat and worked the West Coast until 1961 as the Robert Rachael and the Sea Mate II. After a two year conversion in Nanaimo she was launched as a yacht in 1963 and renamed the Okisollo. Owned by the Wilson family for some 35 years, she was sold to the current owners in 2001 and over the past 10 years they have commissioned some major works. A complete silicon bronze refastening and caulking of the underwater hull was done by Jenkins Marine Service in 2006. Her interior and exterior has been completely refinished, and upgrades have been done to the electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration and electronic systems. She is of solid construction and with a 70 ton displacement is a vessel well suited for all west coast travel or as a comfortable live aboard. Don’t let the opportunity to own this beautiful vessel pass you by.
