Kaskelot is a massively built replica 19th century 3 Masted Barque, built  in 1948, Oak on Oak by J. Ring Anderson, Svendborg, Denmark as an Ice-Classed polar ship. She was built for the Royal Greenland Trading Company supplying the remote Greenland coastal settlements. She later became a Fisheries Support Vessel in The Faroes. Bought by her current owners in 1981 she was re-rigged and converted for use in TV and Films, Corporate Hospitality and Sail Training.  She has a large hold and offers accommodation for up to 12 Guests and 18 crew Mechanical propulsion is by B&W Alpha 375 hp diesel driving a 3-blade variable pitch propeller.
