Brigantine. 81′ x 72’wl x 21’6″ x 10’8″ + 27′ bowsprit. Built in Lorient, France as a fishing boat in 1957. Decommissioned in 1975 and rebuilt in UK as a sail charter vessel with staysail schooner rig in 1975 – 82. Refitted again in 1992 with square rig and now carries 4,400 sq’ sail. Present ownership since 1988 during which time she has been continuously upgraded and improved and has worked as a successful charter vessel sailing Scottish waters for many years. The owner is now retiring and the vessel is for sale. Coded Cat 0. Last survey 03. The hull is massively built in 2″ – 3″ oak planking on sawn oak frames in pairs. The well-deck and side decks are laid in iroko, caulked and payed. The raised focsle deck and the steel deck-house create a safe, sheltered working well deck around the fore mast with all halyards, sheets, clewlines and downhauls brought down to a fife rail around the mast and pin rails at the rigging. Raised poop deck gives excellent visibility from the outside wheel. Inside helm in the wheel-house. Hydraulic steering. Scania 360hp 6-cyl diesel gives her 7.5knts cruising. 600 galls diesel. 4 x 240v generators. 12 guest berths in 4 x 2-berth cabins + 1 x 4-berth cabin. 2 guest showers. 2 guest heads. Captains quarters aft with double berth, heads and shower. 4-berth crew cabin forward with heads and shower. Equipped to Cat 0 for Code of Practice. Extensive equipment list. A successful charter boat proven over many years. Taken part in Tall Ships Races, cruised to the Caribbean. An active, remunerative business.
