The 18’ Utilities were built from 1947 through 1960 and they changed very little over that period. Handsome, full-bodied boats that were seaworthy and dry. Most Islanders were equipped with a 60 hp Gray Marine Model 620 which would push the boat to around 22 knots: not a raceboat, but fast enough to get you home ahead of the storm. They are the perfect boat for their purposes: gunkholing, picnicking, trolling for rockfish…just messing around. This Lyman 18 was completely restored by Pete Fish last year. New Bottom, Rebuilt Graymarine engine, Bimini Top, Fresh Varnish, New Interior. This is a great lake boat for a family or individual that is looking to enjoy Antique Boating on a budget. This vessel is ready to hit the lake!
