The Owens Yacht Corporation of Baltimore Maryland was a household name in yachting in post WW-I America, along with Chris-Craft. The popularity of the Owens boats was limited only by their numbers in production, and competition from Chris-Craft as national distributors and regional builders here in the northwest. That being said, this Owens Tahitian was sold new into Seattle and spent it’s life in the prestigious moorage of Seattle Yacht Club. The uniqueness of the model was it’s attraction then, and now.
