  A 57ft custom motor sailing steel yacht designed by Philip Rhodes & built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1962.Ketch rigged with hollow wooden mast, lifting keels, centre cockpit, deck saloon, 15ft 6 beam & draught of 5 ft to 9 ft.A very comfortable long distance cruiser in excellent condition having been continuously upgraded by the present owners over the last 14 years.  A 4-cabin layout provides 8 berths exclusive of the deck saloon. The 150hp engine together with the fuel capacity of 2000 litres allows for a cruising range under power of over 1600 miles at 7 knots. A 10kva generator supplies sufficient power to run all AC operations simultaneously. A sail wardrode of 8 sails includes a new mainsail in 2009. Equipped with a RIB plus 2 outboards,  boarding gangway, swimming ladder, watermaker, washing machine, aircon, radar, SSB/DSC, Navtex, VHF, chartplotter/GPS, navigation instruments, liferaft & flares. New antifouling in August 2009. New survey in December 2009.The yacht is a customised version by Philip Rhodes of his very successful 77ft ketch ‘Barlovento II’ which won the Block Island race in 1962, sailing in weather with gusts in excess of 60 knots, when 50% of the 103 yacht fleet retired.
