A Classic James McGruer,designed performance ketch, built to A1 Maltese by Morris and Lorimer, Sandbank. Clyde in 1963. Built in 2″ teak planking, over laminated oak stem and 2’x 2 1/2′ laminated Mahogony frames, Stornaway was built as a 13.5m class cruiser racer, and was a member of the Admirals Cup fleet that year. Presented in dated, but good condition, she is keenly for sale.The main saloon has been refitted in a more modern theme, but the rest of the vessel is still in teak to a fantastic standard. Crews quarters fwd,twin 2 berth guest cabins plus owners cabin aft,4 wcs  and separate galley, Stornaway has a big main saloon with sunken seating, and raised bar/entertainment area. Partially modernised,she has electric winches, bow thruster, and hyd r/furler. A mixture of old and new electronics, Daimler Benz main, and Westerbeke Genset, watermaker, inverter, air con, and excellent engineering, appearing in very good condition visually. Stornaway would make an easy project to restore her to her former glory, or just a small refit and cruise the world in elegant comfort
