At the end of the Sixties of the last Century, Arthur DeFever designed for American Marine (that a few years later would change its trade name for Grand Banks) the Grand Alaskan range. It was a a great and long lasting success. The Grand Alaskan 81 is the biggest model of the range and represent the hignest point on the building excellence of the Yard. In the interior, the joinery has a level never to be reached in the fiberglass production. This boat is full of luxury details that are a pleasure for the connoiseur and source of amazement for the beginner. She has a modern electronics set, Najad stabilizers, water-maker, two gen-sets, ten air conditionning units and two full bunks of 32 batteries each that give her an amazing autonomy and independence.
