Designed by Ted Brewer, the Whitby 42 is a full-keeled, balsa-cored, solid cruising yacht. This particular one is hull #115. She was built in Canada, and has been well-cared for by its current owner since 1992. There has only been one other owner and with the exception of three seasons in the Caribbean during the mid-late 1990’s, the boat has been maintained at Dodson Boatyard in Stonington, Connecticut. Brewer designed a comfortable, seaworthy and forgiving yacht that has, over the years, earned a reputation for offering her owners the confidence, capability and strength to go-anywhere. Her balanced rig, despite a generous 875 sq ft of working sail, makes her an easily handled vessel short-handed. The current owners are motivated to sell, despite their many years of proud ownership and cruising memories.
