This Mariner 28 is set up for cruising.  She has wheel steering, roller furling headsail, is quite comfy below for up to five, and has exceptional freeboard to handle heavier seas.  She has a good mainsail, 120% jib, and 150% genoa.  Her newly refurbished 12 HP Yanmar diesel powers her well through the currets of Woods Hole, MA and the Islands.  She recently (’09) traveled Downeast Maine cruising grounds for a spell and then back to the Falmouth (Cape Cod, MA) area.  She is also equipped with a dodger, mainsail cover, compass, depth guage, knotmeter, AM FM CD stereo, and VHF Radio.  She has a manually operated head with holding tank and macerator.  Her displacement is 7450 lbs. There is a fairly recent (3 yr. old) marine survey available to prospective purchasers. Accomodations: Warm teak interior with 5 berth layout. V- Berth double forward, settee berths port & starboard in Main cabin and a starboard quarterberth. L-shaped Galley is aft to port. Dining table is bulkhead mounted and folds down for use.
