The Pacemaker 40 Motor Yacht was one of the last old fashioned flush deck motor yacht designs built by a major U.S. manufacturer.  A practical and straight forward cruising yacht, the spacious two stateroom interior is centered around a salon that seems much larger than its dimensions might suggest.  An enormous “U” shaped galley is down from the salon level as is the forward guest berth and head.  The interior grain-matched teak woodwork is of furniture quality.  The aft master stateroom is large for a 40 foot motor yacht and features a king sized center-lined berth and home style walk in closet.  Topside, the covered aft deck is large enough to entertain a crowd and the wide side decks offer safe passage to the bow.  Access to the flybridge is by a ladder that folds in the aft deck. San Souci’s owners have recently redecorated the entire interior to include furniture, soft goods, wall coverings and carpets making the interior appear like a much newer yacht.
