This is a nice example of the spacious and practical Catalina 30. She has just returned from a cruise to the Florida Keys and is ready to go again! She has a nice cockpit with new instruments, autopilot, dodger, bimini, cushions, and corner seat. Either for daysailing or coastal cruising, she is an affordable way to get into sailing.

The drive line has had extensive work done, making this a trusty, as well as affordable boat. Recent service work includes new transmission and cable, new engine cooling water intake water pump, new manifold, new propeller and cutless bearing, new alternator, and recent muffler (4 years ago).

The exterior canvas is especially nice, with recent replacement of the sail cover, dodger, and bimini. The arrangement is very well thought out, with a grab handle on side of the dodger to make boarding the boat secure, and with the bimini mounted atop the stern rail, increasing the seating area of the cockpit. Moreover, the gap between the dodger and bimini affords perfect vision without the need to look through the Eisenglass.

The interior is also very good. Although seven people sleeping aboard a 30′ boat is not most people’s idea of comfort, this boat will sleep two comfortably in the aft berth, two on the port side with the table down, two in the v-berth, and one on the settee. A vast seating area is created by folding the table against the bulkhead, which then opens up the main cabin.

All in all, she’s a nice little boat!
