This 40′ Defever designed Passagemaker has the much sought after downeast design and has classic lines. She is a double cabin trawler, constructed of solid fiberglass with a deep forefoot and a long keel. Her exterior teak – toe and handrails- are nicely maintained with Cetol. The flybridge includes a black sunbrella bimini with full Eisen glass curtains. Her teak interior shows fine joinery and the galley is up which makes for an open floorplan. The aft owner’s stateroom includes two separate berths with Select Comfort matresses. She is powered by two diesel engines. The starboard is a Lehman 120 HP and the port engine is a Perkins 135 HP. In 2007 this vessel, began a professional refit. The teak decks were removed and replaced with fiberglass decks, then painted with Awlgrip. In 2009, the flybridge deck was redone as well. This portion of the refit was $13,000. New fuel tanks were professionally installed in 2007. To accommodate removing the old tanks and to install the new ones, the generator and air conditioning units were removed. New tanks were fabricated and installed as well as wiring related to the tank work. This portion of the refit was $8500. New water tanks and aft refit was professionally completed in 2007. The aft lazarette houses the new water tanks (220 gallons total capacity) and the aft structure was rebuilt. This portion of the refit was $4300.
