This Classic Bruce King Ericson 38 performance cruiser has undergone extensive $25K refit prior to these photos and in the last five years! The following is a list of new items and upgrades fron the owner: – new stainless 2″ solar arch (with working lights, nav lights, surf rack, etc) – 2 850 solar panels – new plumbing / head – new aft pulpit – replaced most electrical, new batteries – new SSB – new $700 DMI depth sounder – repaired hydraulic backstay – new fridge (but NOT new insulation) – new VHF – new starter – refurbished the steering – new mainsail – new roller – new anchor – new paint job on the boom and mast – new dodger etcetera… and all of it well documented. we put in about 25k Accommodations & Layout Practical layout with a V-berth all the way forward with a custom inner-spring mattress and foam topper. Aft to starboard is an upholstered seat, drawers and a hanging locker with the private, enclosed head to port with a separate shower stall. The salon features two comfortable seats with a game table to starboard. This converts to a single berth by lowering the table. To port is a dinette that converts to a double berth. The L-shaped galley is to starboard. Across from the galley is a private double cabin designated as the owner?s cabin by Ericson. The nav station is within this aft cabin as well with a forward facing chart table, separate seat and storage within the chart table. This cabin can be completely shut off from the main salon with a sliding panel in the athwart ships bulkhead between the salon and the cabin and by a sliding door. With the sliding panel open, this area opens to the salon and lends a feel of spaciousness to the interior. Numerous well-thought-out touches such as the entertainment center on the starboard side of the salon to the ingenious storage cabinetry in the galley keep this design on many sailors? short list. Two large overhead hatches, seven opening ports, a teak and holly sole and oiled teak interior are more amenities this design is known for. Ship?s clock and barometer also included.
