  The Cal 2-46 was conceived by Bill Lapworth (designer of the Cal-40 of racing fame to be large and comfortable for world cruising, small enough for a couple to handle, to have gentle motion at sea, shallow draft and a good turn of speed both under sail and power. The end result turned out to be a very well built vessel that filled all of these requirements  without compromise.      TOUCAN is an outstanding example of the Cal 2-46 line of long range live aboard cruising sailboats. This vessel has enjoyed the care of a knowledgeable owner, it is clean and ready to go cruising. The galley, unlike the standard model is located down with the saloon in the deck house making for a large living area and a proper seagoing galley. The master stateroom is located aft for comfort at sea. A lot of good thought has gone into all aspects of this vessel both in choice of equipment and well conceived systems.
