A design from the pen of Robert Perry. Passport insisted in overbuilding their yachts. The hulls are solid glass,and through bonded with polyester resin.  It is very unusual for them to blister. The 40 has a softly raked bow with a standard transom. Underneath her soft forefoot quickly leads to a long fin keel like the Valiant 40. The bottom on “MALAYA” was soda blasted in 2009, a protective coat was applied and three coats of Petit ablative bottom paint. Lots of upgrades just completed including all new SS life lines,standing rigging, and most running rigging. She just returned from cruising The Bahamas and the owners plans have changed. She is now reluctantly for sale. “MALAYA ” is dry stored at our facility in Oriental, NC.
