If you are looking for a comfortable live a board crusier the Irwin 38′ Mark II has it all. Great layout, easy access to all mechanicals, good deck area and great sailing ability even in light air. “Beaujolais” is a great cruising boat and has had many upgrades during this ownership between 2008 and the present. New bimini and sail covers, new staysail, new jib. New ports, all new rigging both standing and running. New 16,000 BTU AC, installed May 2011. The bottom was done Dec.2010, and a new rudder was made. The interior is very warm and cozy with custom teak cabinets and a teak and holly sole. You can walk through to the aft cabin from the main salon and through the head on the starboard side back to the main salon. The owners cabin is aft with a queen berth, plenty of draw space and cedar lined hanging lockers. The V-berth forward is very large with a hanging locker and drawers and opening ports and hatch.Two private heads. The foreward head has been temporarily converted to a large closet but the vanity, sink and plumbing is in place. All that is needed is a new toilet. Nav station is to starboard. The galley runs down the port side with an “Island area” centered behind the companionway steps which creates extra counter space. She is powered by the ever faithful 50 HP Perkins 4-108 diesel engine.
