“Memory Seeker” is a classic, Catalina Tall Rig 36, well-loved, well-sailed and very well maintained. She is also well-traveled! She was the 1985 Annapolis Boat Show winner and was purchased on the East Coast by the current owners in 1989. They rewired the entire electrical system, then hauled her every year to keep her protected during the winter. In 1996,  when the family relocated, the boat was moved to Seattle. The exhaust system was rebuilt, and a new water heater was added along with a new battery charger, a foredeck windlass with custom metal plate, and a 100-ft anchoring system design for Puget Sound. Furuno radar was also installed. In 2000, Memory Seeker was hauled again and her new hailing port became Monterey Bay. Prior to a move to Redwood City in 2004, a new fuel tank was installed as well as new batteries. The engine was overhauled (including regrounding the valves and replacing hoses) and has only 30 hours on her from that work. A new gel coat bottom was also done at that time and the bottom was painted again in 2010.  Along with barely used Pineapple Sails that were new in 2002, a custom cockpit awning and landline phone hook up, Memory Seeker has had many other upgrades.
