JULIA ex. SYBIL JULIA is a cat yawl design by L. Francis Herreshoff, who had the following to say about the rig: “With the cat yawl, when the sheets are properly attended, one can keep her perfectly under control, and she will steer easily under most conditions. In fact, she can often be made self-steering by slacking the mizzen sheet. Of course, there are sheets to tend when tacking ship, and a properly shaped cat yawl is a notably fast craft.” Though we have not seen JULIA, we understand that she has been well maintained and that she can be well recommended.
