These really are superb boats with nearly 300 built (both MKI and MKII).  This fine example of the MK1 is a makes it hard to imagine that this boat is only 26 years young. She looks great – a testimony to her current owner’s care and attention. Unusually she is also fitted with the (optional) wheel steering which actually does not appear to really impact the space in the cockpit too much. Down below is clean and tidy and the majority of the woodwork recently refurbished. Designed by Bill Dixon, the Mk I Moody 31 was built from late 1983 to the end of 1985, at which time it was superseded by the Mk II, which was virtually identical except for the addition of a sugar scoop stern.
