The designer of this steel boat is Angelo Lavranos how did his apprenticeship with Sparkman & Stevens, hence the elegant lines of Herbie. It is a very fast capable sailing ship, dry and has a very safe comfortable feeling about her. Herbie has been sailing with her three happy owners two times around the world, has had two stops at Antarctica. She is well insulated and has a wood burner that heats up the cabin easily. From 2001 the boat has gone through some upgrading as for example new interior designed by Heyman Yacht Design and built by baltic Varv AB 2010. This ship offers a very comfortable living aboard for all climates.
