Designed along the lines of the Classic Bertram 31, the 28 quickly established her reputation among serious anglers as a rugged and durable offshore fisherman and a solid as a rock deep vee hulled family cruiser with comfortable cabin accomodations for 4 people which would get you out on the water when larger boats stayed at the dock ! !  She rides on a solid fiberglass deep vee 23 degree hull, and her 11′ Beam is wide for a 28’er and the boat features a spacious 85 square foot cockpit for shing/cruising. Belowdecks, the cabin layout includes berths for 4 with a good sized convertible dinette,a forward vee berth, an efficient galley, standup head with vanity and head and ample storage. Superior workmanship and constant refinements kept the Bertram 28 in the forefront of small fishing boat designs during her long production run from 1971 through 1994.
