This 40′ Marlineer was custom built by fishing legend Ted Tate. His vision was to sell these boats to Mexican hotels as “day boats”.  With its comfortable accomodations, wide beam and a price tag of $500,000, it was too expensive for the Mexican hotel fleets. Ted sold the yacht to a local Newport Beach fisherman and then it was purchased by another fishing legend, Fred Duckett, for his home in Baja. This fiberglass sportfisher has lots of flybridge seating and two raised engine boxes in the cockpit for lounging and watching the lures. What a great fishing/cruising boat for Mexico or enjoy it as a great family for Catalina.The new engines were installed in 2004 and the transmissions were rebuilt. The yacht was LP painted during this refit. All work was done by Cabo Yacht Center in Cabo San Lucas.
