The yacht was re-decked with 12mm thick teak, and since then, considerable modifications and additions have been carried out specifically in preparation for extended cruising and long distance ocean voyages. Apart from the recently purchased sails and new and enlarged spray hood, she has extra large capacity water ( 1080 lts) and fuel (540 lts) tanks, reducing the number of times needed to go into marinas to fill up. All winch mountings had extra stainless steel backing plates fitted. The standard shroud chain plates were replaced with extended 10 bolt stainless steel sandwiched plates and on deck raised teak seating pads were fitted with tufnel sealing plates. She had installed a Fisher Panda 4.5 kva diesel generator, providing charging power to the 12 volt batteries and 230 volts for electric oven/microwave etc cooking and heating. In the vented aft deck locker provision was made for four large gas cylinders. In the galley, the already large fridge was additionally increased in performance with shelving and modified cooling fans; and extra work surface provided with a hinged up table/work area fitted. The Raymarine chart plotter is removable from the helm position for security.
