The Baron 135 is a hard-chine high performance sailing yacht built in aluminum. The hull was designed by the naval architect Dieter Hagena, her lines being a replica of the famous Red Baron, a yacht renowned for winning most regattas in the ‘80’s, namely the “Plymouth – Newport” race. The present and only owner – himself an experienced offshore yacht racer – purchased the hull from the Baron shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany in 1988 and, subsequently, employed a professional interior designer and joiner team to finish the interior of the vessel to comply with the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance at sea. All the technical work on board was carried out by highly skilled, professional engineers with the owner, also an engineer himself, supervising the work, thus achieving a superb technical quality hardly found on custom-built vessels. The hull was repainted in the spring of 2010 with Awlgrip and all the systems on board checked and serviced as required.
