RECENT SURVEY AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST!!!!! IN THE OWNERS WORDS:  Adelaide was purchased in the spring of 2000 by a couple with three children for the purpose of long distance extended cruising. She was refitted in Camden Maine that winter by Wayfarer Marine with the expressed purpose of safety, convenience, and living on “the hook”. With those requirements Wayfarer added a custom “sugar scoop” transom extension. A Leisure Furl in boom main sail furling system was installed for easy main sail handling and reefing from inside the cockpit. Coupled with an electric halyard winch, use of the main sail was as easy as the roller furling jib. Adding an oversized bow thruster made docking simpler while electric dinghy davits made dinghy launching a push button three minute exercise. The dc electrical system was boosted to an extra large 940 amp house batter bank with gel cell batterys. Using the twin generator driven mastervolt 75 watt chargers connected through adjustable rheostats this configuration allowed for additional ac loads during charging. The Mastervolt Emon battery monitor allowed constant monitoring of both battery banks, and optimal charging insuring extended battery life. A new navigational system was installed coupling a Northstar color GPS chart plotter, with the Simrad autopilot through a Dell desktop computer running Nobeltec navigation software.
