Custom Barquentine (JFR) Boats Review and Specs
Year: 1989Manufacturer: World Office
Price: US$6,000,000
This classic sailing vessel, first launched in 1989, was custom designed and built in Brazil out of the finest tropical hardwoods. The hull and decks are of Ipe, milled from virgin timber hand-picked by the original owner from his own forest in Paraquay. The ship has a full-length, external ballast keel made of carbon steel, weighing nearly 60 tons, adding both incredible strength and stability to an already massive structure. The entire hull is clad in copper from just above to waterline to the keel. She has 9 cabins with 23 berths (6 in 2 crew cabins forward; 17 in other cabins) The interior is hand-crafted of Brazilian mahogany, with beautiful stained-glass murals in the interior passage-way doors, and built-in mahogany furnishings throughout. All port lights are cast in bronze and heavily glazed with beveled safety glass. All deck fixtures (cleats, chocks, winches, hatches, etc.) are also custom bronze castings. She is a beautiful vessel and a great business opportunity for some sailor.
