  The Cape Dory 36 is a classic tradition vessel with a Carl Alberg pedigree and Cape Dory Yachts heritage of quality workmanship and very good build quality. The capabilities of this vessel are well documented through many offshore voyages. We are pleased to offer this 1990 Cape Dory 36 the second to the last one built by Cape Dory. Carl Alberg was one of the most successful, and the most prolific designers and his designs have been unarguably proven. Today, the Cape Dory 36 is being built by Robinhood Marine in Maine. It is quite a compliment that Alberg’s design has stood the test of time and the Robinhood 36 is still a sought after, high quality, blue water vessel.    Our current offering, Falcon, was previously owned by a professional yacht captain who was preparing her for a voyage but then, because of work, he sold her to a young sailor just yearning to sail over the horizon. And sail he did! After a shakedown cruise on the Chesapeake he installed a new Monitor wind vane steering system and prepared the boat for her blue water voyage. He sailed to Bermuda, to Maine, and then the Caribbean and back to Annapolis. Falcon is seriously ready to go anywhere! Unlike many boats that are not cruised, everything on this boat works.  Falcon is well equipped the navigation and communication equipment including the Raymarine C80 series Radar and Chart Plotter at the helm where you need it especially when sailing shorthanded.  Also at the helm is the Autopilot ST4000, Raymarine ST60+ wind, speed and depth sailing instrumentation and a full function cockpit RAM Mic for the Icom M502 VHF. The navigation equipment and powerful electronic autopilot is a great help to the solo sailor for raising the sails and also for motoring in calm. For passagemaking, the new Monitor wind vane steering system that has reliably taken Falcon to Bermuda, the Caribbean Windwards, and back to Annapolis and Maine. The monitor works like magic on this traditional vessel. It is always reassuring to know that this vessel is completely ready to sail anywhere. Upon completion of her adventure, she’s  being given the spa treatment with complete service and detailing and even new cushions. She will soon be ready for viewing in Annapolis.
