Rarely does an opportunity present itself to own a catamaran of this size in a composite construction for the advertised price. The fortunate new owner will have an impressive Shuttleworth 63 for a fraction of what it would cost to build in this material today. The interior is nothing short of enormous on this Shuttleworth catamaran. New guests on board are always astonished to see the vast space in a fully air-conditioned environment. 450sq feet to be exact in the main living/saloon area with 6ft 6 head room. The owners have enjoyed cruising for 10 years with their family very comfortably and quickly. This is a galley up configuration and allows the bridge deck area to be a being a social space which integrates the main living areas of the saloon, navigation station, dining table and lounge room. The accommodation in the hulls comprises of 4 double cabins and 1 single berth. The two aft cabins being super queen sized in a very generous space and the two forward cabins are fitted with double berths. The two aft cabins and starboard forward cabin having their own vanity basins. To starboard mid ships is a washer / drier utility area which was a converted berth as the owners lived aboard with their family. To port amidships is a single berth for extra guests . In each hull there is a shower and head. There is no end to the space on board this yacht which would allow the new owner to customize in any way they see fit. The whole interior finish is a vacuum bagged clean smooth white epoxy finish which is super practical, very easy to keep clean while enhancing the great space on board this Shuttleworth 63 Super Cruiser The Hull is Airex foam sandwich as are the decks. This is then covered in a layer of Kevlar and epoxy which is all vacuum bagged. The beams and high load areas are reinforced with carbon. The sails are new in 2005/6 and have the equivalent of 1 year of cruising usage . These were manufactured by Doyle NZ in spectra at a considerable cost. There is a full set of sails with this catamaran which includes roached main , spinnaker and furling screecher. Fuel is generous at 1000 litres and water capacity is a whopping 3000 litres should you feel the need to carry this amount. There is a water maker on board so that this amount need not be carried. On deck the cock pit is a twin helm set up with dual morse controls. As you would expect the cock pit is huge and is covered buy a custom hard top. When standing on the saloon roof you realize just how vast the fore deck area is. This is also very handy as a vantage point for picking thought new waters or slabing the main sail in the lazy bag. As an absolute certainty this Shuttleworth 63 Supercruiser will give the new owner a taste of what a performance multihull has to offer in a cruising configuration.
