Her first owners sailed her across the Atlantic from South Africa to the Caribbean for a change of lifestyle and ended up running charter boats for eight years. All this time Serendipity was out of the water on the hard in storage. They then spent two more years on the hard completely refurbishing her for a circumnavigation. (a sister ship has been around Cape Horn and many have been through the Straights of Magellan at 54 deg south and beyond). Unfortunately just as the project was completed health issues forced them to sell.
