“April K” is a one of a kind vessel and has been featured in articles in both Power & Motoryacht and Passagemaker magazines due to her unique diesel electric propulsion system. The owner hasdecommissioned the diesel electric system and has repowered her with a traditional twin-engine configuration. There is an impressive list of upgrades, including a 6′ extension, that in addition to creating a larger aft deck for a dinghy cradle and low profile davit, you will find a massive generator room and work shop. The interior is mostly original and is in excellent condition. On the extended aft deck you will find the low profile davit in the starboard aft corner as well as the over sized hatch for access to the generator room/work shop. The removable powder coated dinghy cradle is on center and the hatch for a deep storage locker is to port. Moving forward, she has a classic trunk cabin layout with wide side decks. Moving up to the large fly bridge you find a folding antenna mast and custom hard top with powder-coated frames. There is L-shaped bench seating and a pair of high back Stidd helm chairs. The salon is accessible via sliding doors on both the port and starboard sides. The well-appointed lower helm is located to starboard at the door forward of the L-shaped settee. Aft is the master stateroom with a centerline queen berth and ensuite head. Forward of the salon and down one step, on the portside is the U-shaped galley with a serving bar to the salon. The guest head is down a couple more steps and opposite the galley to starboard. Forward is the guest stateroom with single berths on each side. The hand rubbed teak cabinets and paneling shows in outstanding condition with no water stains anywhere.
