A fresh water boat for most of her life Flyer is the lowest priced Farr 40 One Design race boat that we know of.  She is outfitted with a carbon fiber mast, Harken winches & B&G electronics.  She has the original  Sparcraft carbon fiber pole for her  fractional spinnakers.  She also is outfitted with the longer Hall Spars carbon fiber pole for her masthead spinnakers.  In September 2011 Flyer had her bottom paint removed & then painted with a two-part epoxy primer.  Her bottom was then sprayed with a white racing bottom.
