SORCERER II finished a 2 year scientific expedition circumnavigating the globe in mid latitudes collecting samples of microbes in seawater for genetic sequencing and cataloguing.   SORCERER II was conceived by an experienced yachtsman who wanted not just a world cruising yacht, but one that would be capable of handling the extremes in latitudes, from equatorial heat and humidity to latitudes between 60 and 70 degrees.   SORCERER II’s construction is light for performance, but very strong, with her Kevlar and E glass laminates, epoxy bonding and carefully chosen core materials. SORCERER II can accelerate in a puff like a race boat, yet set anchors to hold her position in a small cove after maneuvering via bow and stern thrusters into a tight, yet safe, position.   SORCERER II’s acoustical engineering ensures a quiet ride and no background noise from her machinery, as owner and guests cruise in safety and infinite comfort afforded by all of her beautifully engineered systems on board.   Easily attaining 10 – 11 knots on passages ensures 240 – 260 mile days, with more, when conditions are favorable.   SORCERER II’s cockpit provides easy access to and from tenders or for diving and water sports.   SORCERER II completed her ABS 5 year hull survey in November 2009.
