Bred from a racing heritage she was designed by sailors for sailors. A high and smooth bridge deck, aerodynamically optimized hull and deck shapes guarantee fast and safe ocean passages. In her era, high tech, yet proven composite structure resulted in a very strong and stiff platform. Lightness and strength are achieved by conservative engineering and an all vacuum bagged construction. Numerous watertight bulkheads and a foam sandwich inner skin make her virtually unsinkable. The Bahia 46 combines the best of both worlds in a very reasonable package. She is a luxurious -no compromise waterfront condo yet also a supremely capable and safe open ocean passage maker. Brokers Comments. ‘Bleu Azur’ was sold by me back in August 2008 to her very fastidious and meticulous current owners. They have fully prepared her for crewed charter and done an extremely good job, to say the least. She had brand new Doyle’s sails, ‘stack pack’ in late 2008 and  as of July 2009, a new bimini top.
